Teams were set up and the tracking work was practiced on, around, up and down a dry river bed creating some excellent problem solving difficulties for both dog and handler. On a personal note - I was very pleased to see more women involved in this years seminar.

With the full cooperation and participation of the local constabulary the night tracking exercise was a simulated kidnapping (the trackers did not know it was simulated) and a simulated heart attack (again the first responders did not know it was simulated). With everyone doing extremely well the victim was found and the heart attack patient lived. GREAT EXERCISE - Sorry no pictures but that was the evening I was taken into Monterrey and forced to shop and have a good time.
The cadaver work was held in and around one of the best "NO CRITTERING" distractions I have seen in the form of a dead cow. The dogs were worked around this distraction in a way to establish a clear mindset to pay attention to the job. The exercise was very successful.
