Hard Surface Tracking Scents were placed - Tracks were laid and run smack dab in the middle of Charlotte (thats char-LOT), Michigan. Middle of the week - a lot of foot traffic and good "scent discriminative" work for the dogs. Work for the "certifiers" went well into the night adding another difficulty to the tracking scenario Awards Banquet
This time at the Ceremony of the Salt, a new member was saluted. A call to role was symbolically answered as Drake, friend -companion and long time working partner of Vince and Cindy Hester, passed away, not to ever be forgotten. The one photo to the right is myself receiving my Certification Official title and LETS Ring, which I am seriously proud of and couldn't help but list.
(Now it is really hard to be humble) Celebrations were held and a delicious Table was set - Canada and the USA toasted to good neighbors and lasting friendships. After a little more celebrating , Mikey pointed out that all the classes concerning "Interactive Social Skills" for Billy had not really worked - and we all nodded in agreement - Mikey said he knew of a semi-surgical procedure that just might do it - we didn't ask too many questions. We encouraged Billy with his anaesthetic of choice both before and after the semi-surgery. Afterward Mikey said the semi-suture line would probably go away.
To test how well the procedure worked, we sent Billy out into the real world and he did pretty darn well on a one to one basis - Feeling pretty confident, we put him in front of a whole group of small school children. - I began to question the success when I saw him throw the poor dog Asti to the children and book it on down the hill - if you look closely you can see her lil butt in the center of the picture.
