Basic leash recognition and response, Basic behavioral understanding and application, Beginning Cadaver, April 3 thru 7, 2006
Tanya and Mac April, 2006

Near the end of the week, Eduardo "Lalo" Martinez and his teammate from the Monterrey, Mexico area came up and shared probably the most excellent water cadaver search logistics, planning and deployment, with successful body recovery case information that I have seen, allowing the students to see the logistical planning we had just discussed in classroom applied in a real time recovery. Thanks Lalo

This was my third year to travel to Laredo and work with those K9 kids and it just keeps getting better and better. The week started out a little unorganized and confused - but before we were done, those kids and their dogs were lookin good!

First day

It looks like the K9 sign will be transferring to a brand new building soon and all the construction added some interesting distractions we all had to work through.

Last day

working on down, stay, come leaving the kennel area observing the "10 foot" rule Note to the students:

Thanks for another great trip - You all did extremely well and I am very proud for the privilege of working with each one of you as well as all the good people there at Laredo Community College. A special thanks to Samantha (little missy) for help with some of the picture taking. So "keep the faith and stay the course" to your futures with canines. Tanya
