L.E.T.S. Land Cadaver Certification
Hosted by The Laredo Job Corps
A special L.E.T.S. Thank You to Director John Bruce and Academic Manager Raul Trevino
Mac and I arrived in Laredo, Texas Thursday evening
(one full day before the certification seminar)
Since certification exercises didn't begin till Saturday morning, Friday morning Mac and I just worked on his attention span.  The boy had to be sittin and stayin no matter where he was or what was going on
SATURDAY MORNING - weather was good - practice was better - all dogs did well - those darn Mexican tree climbing dogs put my big butted hound  to shame - but - we will be working on that.  It was wonderful to spend this time with like minded people working to achieve one common goal, the reliable location of cadaver - Two Countries working with One common purpose. Tree Climbing Dogs SUNDAY MORNING, Certification day - weather was very cold and wet and miserable.   Mac the Dude

Friday afternoon several of the Job Corps K-9 students approached me and asked if I would teach a class - when I said I'd be glad to - they were out on the field with their dogs and we had a long, hard, excellent afternoon.  I want to personally thank the students for the opportunity to share that time with them and to remark on how impressed I was with the open minds and willing attitudes I saw.
Well Done Class.
Certification was real LETS style
No "shows indications"
No "shows interest"
3 hits out - 3 hits found and called
(
in this certification 4 hits were out)
within fifteen minutes
with NO false hits

The list of certifiers will be on the L.E.T.S. web site  -  an excellent job was done by all - but a small brag for this site.....  Mac had two certification officials watching our every move - 4 hits were put out rather than just three and my boy got all four in approx 7 minutes - he is not just certified, he is INTERNATIONALLY CERTIFIED.
BOOHA or BOORAH - oh to heck with it, I'm just dang diddly darn PROUD of this hound.
