L.E.T.S. Regional Seminar
August 2002
Lansing, Michigan
A good group of students were in attendance while Instructors from Texas and West Virginia were on hand to share their wisdom and expertise.
I was able to meet many new people and at the same time pleased to say a great big "Hi" to several old friends.
New problem solving situations were added daily in the areas of cadaver (both land and water) and tracking (both hard and natural surfaces)
Good Canine manners (obedience) was practiced by all attendees from day one and great improvement was achieved by day five.
A huge Thanks to Larry Barker and all who assisted him for a great Seminar

Land
Cadaver
The instructors set up the testing area and Mikey ran his dog to make sure all hits could be found. When he was satisfied, he called up the "certifiers" to run their dogs. Water Cadaver From group instruction and first time introduction of water to the dogs through Water Cadaver Certification -
Its all here!
After watching Sharean run her dog through land cadaver certification in two minutes 30 seconds - She seemed to me to be walking a little taller. Click Here for Page Two and pictures of:
Hard Surface Tracking
Awards Banquet and Ceremony of the Salt
SemiSurgery for Billy to improve his social skills (Mikey said it might work)

It was both interesting and informative to watch the different styles and techniques of the instructors. I was a little confused by Sharean's actions but finally figured out that she might be attempting to "imprint" the scent. trackers: Site Meter
