L.E.T.S.
Regional Seminar
November 2002
Polk County Florida
From the Gathering on the lake with bonfire at sunset AND traditionally prepared food cooked on the lakeshore - to the fieldtrip to "haunted" Harder Hall for a little directed search work - IT WAS UNIQUE - IT WAS EDUCATIONAL - AND IT WAS TONS-O-FUN
- Florida Style.
TRACKERS
While at the "hall" we were able to take advantage of much more than just directed search - with allllll the halls and stairs of all types, small rooms, many many doors, etc...etc...etc....
We were able to do some serious "environmental conditioning" with the dogs - since it is such a fun place to work - we had more help than we knew what to do with....IT WAS GREAT!
I would like to take the opportunity to send a great big FLORIDA thank you to:
Inspector General's Office, State of Florida
Lancaster Institute, Florida DOC
Polk County SO
Highlands County SO
Highlands County Correctional Institute
Sebring Police Department
and a special thanks to
Detective Randy
(our boat driver)
for all their support and assistance
Sgt. Knuckles gave us a tracking demonstration with Billy Smith as the "victim". He put the dog on the track and the search was on - darned if that dog didn't keep finding Billy no matter who else was around. The Sgt. stayed with us all afternoon, sharing information and answering questions, with special attention paid to each team and group review at the end -
